In September 2024, Public Institution Vocational School No. 4 in Bălți launched DUAL education in the profession of Electrician for electrical equipment maintenance in partnership with SA Rețele Electrice de Distribuție Nord – a strategic actor in the national energy sector.
This initiative is a natural and necessary step in adapting the education system to the real demands of the labor market in a field that is vital to the functioning of modern society – electricity.
Electrical maintenance technicians are specialists in the maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial electrical equipment, with advanced technical skills in diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical machinery. They are experts in handling protective equipment, performing periodic checks and ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery. Their work is valued in production units, factories and maintenance centers, so their qualifications allow them to work both as employees and independently.
Dual education offers a modern, efficient and results-oriented educational model that combines theoretical instruction in an educational institution with practical training directly in the workplace. Students not only learn a trade, but also experience it on a daily basis, acquiring real professional skills, work discipline, responsibility and an authentic organizational culture.
The partnership with SA Rețele Electrice de Distribuție Nord gives this program added value and credibility. The company’s direct involvement in the vocational training process ensures:
- students’ access to modern equipment and current technologies,
- training under the guidance of experienced specialists,
- the development of the skills needed for the maintenance, operation and safety of electrical equipment,
- and, last but not least, real employment opportunities after graduation.
For students, this profession means the security of a stable professional future, a qualification that is in demand on the labor market and the opportunity to actively contribute to the proper functioning of the energy infrastructure. For employers, it means training well-prepared young people who are adapted to the specific requirements of the job. And for society, it means competent specialists, responsibility and continuity in the energy sector.
